Kristin and Norm met at Books-a-Million in Harrisonburg in 2001. Kristin was working in the cafe as a Barista, and Norm was the Hardback Specialist. Although Kristin was serving up coffee, and Norm was serving up books, there were numerous moments of interaction planting seeds that were destined to bloom into full-fledged love. Norm frequented the Joe Muggs cafe, while Kristin was known from time to time to help Norm organize the weekly Top 30 Bestseller display.
A seemingly platonic outing to see the first Harry Potter movie led to a get-together at the local Artful Dodger coffeehouse, and soon resulted in a road trip to Charlottesville for dinner and good times.
The rest is history. Kristin’s straight-edge feminist college-life tendencies were merged with Norm’s shifty bottom-feeder lifestyle so prevalent in the anarchist underdwellings of the Keezell Building, and together they moved to a lovely cottage in Charlottesville, Virginia…
From there, on to the hot bus-riding days of Tempe, Arizona….
Then on to New York City for a couple of years…

Kristin and Norm,
What a journey and it’s only just begun…. So proud of how supportive you have been for each other. I’m sure life will have a few bumps ahead but I think you have already hit the hardest ones and also sure they have made your love stronger.
Wishing you happiness always.
Love,
gloria
